How Kendrick Lamar celebrated the legend Diana Ross with a bow

Kendrick Lamar bowed down to Diana Ross as she presented him with song of the year for “Not Like Us.”

Lamar is having big year, he’s already won four Grammys and he’s set to play the Super Bowl half time show next week.

“We’re going to dedicate this one to the city,” Kendrick Lamar said during his acceptance speech for record of the year for “Not Like Us.”

Kendrick, who is born and raised in L.A., chose to focus on the devastation left behind by the California wildfires in his speech.

Kendrick Lamar is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer, widely regarded as one of the most influential artists in contemporary hip-hop. Born on June 17, 1987, in Compton, California, he first gained attention with his 2011 album “Section.80,” which showcased his lyrical prowess and storytelling ability.

Lamar’s subsequent albums, including “good kid, m.A.A.d city” (2012), “To Pimp a Butterfly” (2015), and “DAMN.” (2017), garnered critical acclaim and commercial success, often addressing themes of race, identity, and social issues. He is known for his complex lyricism, innovative production, and ability to blend various musical styles.

In addition to multiple Grammy Awards, Lamar made history by being the first non-classical, non-jazz artist to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music in 2018 for “DAMN.” His impact extends beyond music, as he often engages in activism and social commentary through his work. Kendrick Lamar continues to be a defining voice in hip-hop and a significant cultural figure.
