At least 95 private jets reportedly sought clearance to land at Venice’s Marco Polo Airport for the high-profile wedding of Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and former journalist Lauren Sánchez.
The lavish ceremony took place on San Giorgio Maggiore island on Friday, with Sánchez stunning in a Dolce & Gabbana gown and Bezos dressed in a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt and bow tie.
The couple, aged 61 and 55 respectively, are said to have reserved some of Venice’s most luxurious hotels for their A-list guests, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Mick Jagger, Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, and Orlando Bloom.
Also in attendance were Ivanka Trump, her husband Jared Kushner, and their three children. According to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, the city also saw an influx of mega yachts to accommodate guests arriving by sea.
