Ghanaian rap enigma, Michael Owusu Addo popularly known on screen as Sarkodie has dragged his lookalike and Ecobank to court following the release of a campaign flyer which had a supposed Sarkodie look-alike.
It is reported that a reputable bank company used the musician’s lookalike for an advertisement that was warning people and customers over fraud.
The bank’s action did not sound pleasant to Sarkodie and his team, so they were dragged to court for defamation.
The bank, in a defamation suit, is to appear before the court for interrogation within 8 days.
It is noted that the bank’s failure to appear before the court will go a long way to affect them in judgment.
Meanwhile, Ecobank, as well as Sarkodie’s lookalike is yet to respond to the claims.
