Kanye West officially broke the record for the highest-attend rap concert in United States history

Kanye West officially broke the record for the highest-attended rap concert in United States history.

Kanye Wes made history Saturday night by officially setting the record for the highest-attended solo rap concert in United States history, drawing a massive crowd of 80,210 fans to Houston’s NRG Stadium for a monumental Halloween night performance.
The record-breaking crowd shattered the venue’s previous all-time attendance mark and officially surpassed Ye’s own previous U.S. hip-hop concert record of 74,000 fans, set earlier this year during his multi-night run at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

A Historic Night in Space City

The high-octane setlist stretched past 50 songs, spanning West’s extensive two-decade discography along with tracks from Bully. Perched atop his signature Earth-like spherical stage structure surrounded by projected visuals, lasers, and pyrotechnics, Ye delivered a nearly three-hour performance. He was joined on stage by Playboi Carti and North West, while high-profile figures including Drake and Travis Scott were spotted in attendance among the capacity crowd.

During a performance of his track “Ghost Town,” West paused to address the historic milestone directly:

“We just broke the record. Biggest rap concert in U.S. history. Thank you, H-Town,” Ye told the roaring crowd. “Thank y’all for sticking by me all these years.”
Breaking Down the Numbers
With an official turnstile count of 80,210 fans, the Halloween show set several major venue and genre benchmarks:

All-Time Rap Record: Topped the previous U.S. solo hip-hop concert record (~74,000 fans at SoFi Stadium).

Venue Benchmark: Surpassed NRG Stadium’s previous concert attendance record of 80,203 set by Cody Johnson at the 2023 Houston Rodeo.

Marathon Performance: Played for nearly 3 full hours, churning through 50+ tracks from his catalog.

The turnout underscores Ye’s enduring live-performance draw as he continues his 2026 global stadium run.
