Ghanaian radio presenter DJ KA has brought his broadcasting career at Kessben FM to an emotional close, signing off for the last time on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
The presenter, whose real name is Rexford Kwadwo Adu Ntim, shared a video of his final moments at the station, accompanied by the message: “I ended my radio journey today. Goodbye. Bless you.”
DJ KA became emotional during the farewell broadcast as he performed a song by highlife legend Amakye Dede and paid tribute to his close friend and content creator Alexis De Godson. His exit comes months after he was at the centre of a video controversy that led Kessben Media to take him off air in July while it investigated the circumstances surrounding the footage.
In August, the station announced his reinstatement after completing its internal investigation. Management explained that the recording was made about four years earlier, before he joined Kessben, and that it was never intended for public circulation.
The media house described the incident as an “unfortunate, avoidable mistake from the broadcaster’s past that lacked proper discretion” and said DJ KA would return under management supervision, with professional counselling and a bond of good behaviour. DJ KA also apologised publicly, saying: “I take full responsibility for my actions. Recording the video was a serious error in judgment, and I deeply regret the decision that led to this unfortunate incident.”
During the broadcast, he performed a song by Ghanaian highlife legend Amakye Dede and paid tribute to his close friend and content creator Alexis De Godson, eulogising him in what became a deeply personal final appearance on air. The exit marks a significant moment in DJ KA’s career, arriving months after he weathered considerable public scrutiny following the leak of a private video that generated widespread attention across Ghana.
