The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appointed Julius Kwame Anthony as a Deputy Communications Director of the party, effective immediately.
The party announced the appointment in a press release dated Tuesday, October 13, 2026, stating that its Functional Executive Committee (FEC) approved the decision at a meeting held on the same day.
The NDC said the appointment forms part of efforts to strengthen its communications machinery, improve public engagement and effectively communicate the policies, programmes and achievements of the NDC-led government.
It expressed confidence that Mr Anthony would bring dedication, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility to the role while working with the Communications Directorate and other relevant party structures.
The party also identified Godwin Ako Gunn, Kakra Essamuah and Julius Kwame Anthony as its official spokespersons and contact persons for media enquiries concerning the NDC.
The statement, signed by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, urged media organisations and other stakeholders to take note of Mr Anthony’s appointment and accord him the necessary recognition in the discharge of his official duties.

The party further congratulated Mr Anthony on his appointment and wished him success in his new role.
