Rapper Cardi B condemns bullying in New York City schools after the murder of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong.
The case is making national headlines after Frimpong, a Ghanaian teenager who moved to New York in 2025, was fatally shot while walking to school in the Bronx on Oct. 29. His father said Javits had recently experienced bullying at DreamYard Preparatory School. On Oct. 30, Cardi B vented about the situation on social media.
“What happened to Javits is the reason why I would never raise a kid in the Bronx,” the Bronx native said. “These little muthaf**kin kids in New York start bullying you, starting from the first grade…That sh*t make you want to join a gang so you can have your own group of people so people could stop f**king with you. Because that’s practically what happened with me.”
Police are looking for three teenage suspects in connection with Frimpong’s murder. No arrests have been made.
