Award-winning dancehall musician Stonebwoy has directly addressed broadcaster Bobie Ansah following comments in which the media personality stated a clear preference for rival artiste Shatta Wale over him.
Responding publicly to what he described as an unprovoked attack on his character, the Into the Future hitmaker took to social media to clarify his stance and defend his reputation.
“See how this man disrespectfully describes me for no reason,” Stonebwoy stated. “This reply is evidence that I can reply to anyone, anytime and anywhere, instantly — just as I am doing now. I hold nothing in my heart. I speak when I choose to, not when others expect me to.”
While many fans anticipated a heated exchange given the long-standing rivalry within the dancehall scene, Stonebwoy opted for a measured approach, explicitly choosing not to trade insults.
“I could have rained insults on you for attacking my character, like your fav,” Stonebwoy added, taking a subtle jab at his peer. “But it is unnecessary. I chose to be wise; I have uncles your age whom I respect.”
Concluding his message, the artiste explained that his response was meant to address a broader issue within the media space regarding the promotion of negative behavior.
“I only replied so that people like you stop glorifying acts that degrade the moral fabric of our nation,” he noted.
The exchange has sparked widespread discussion across social media platforms, with fans and industry pundits debating both the host’s original commentary and Stonebwoy’s deliberate response.
